Truth bomb: You Don’t Need to Be Exotic — You Just Need to Be Anointed!

So, how do you deal with people who let this go to their heads? Have you ever felt like you're stuck in the background while someone else is flexing their “rare features” like a prize in a claw machine? You know the type — strutting around like life handed them the golden joystick. And the moment they show partiality and you object to that, they start telling you to stop being “jealous” because you’re not some tall, blonde-haired, green-eyed, 36-inch-legged unicorn with a fan club. Oh brother. 🙄

It's like that time some people decided to post hate comments under my brunette beauty celebration posts:

(("Sorry, blonde is better.")) (("You're mediocre")) (("You're petty.")) (("You're not holding yourself to a standard.")) (("That's literally something that everyone else has."))

This cut deep. Truth is: Diversity isn't a hair color chart in a salon. God made it way bigger than that!

Diverse or not Diverse Enough?

And to add insult to injury, who stood in my defense when that happened? No one. So why do those with the darker hues get so much hate in the said 'Western Positive Community' while these lighter featured women (and men) get a complimentary truck? The answer is: It's all about audience! And when you cast your pearls before swine, nothing good ever really comes from it. So, it would be wise to stop trying to prove your value to people who refuse to see it and change the people you are surrounding yourself with. Because how the world treated you isn't a reflection of what you diserve. You were created for something greater. You were created with immesurable worth: brown hair and all. Nothing about you is overlooked by your creator. So go where you are valued. Go back to Jesus!

It was then that I began to realize that these self-proclaimed 'rightists', who were spreading hate like this; were in fact no different than that of the woke left field people. The unrealistic expectations, the hate, the gaslighting, all because I wasn't the 'right color'.... sound familiar? And is that not colorism? Yet this is something that is widely ignored, so much that even when you point it out to them, they still refuse to address it. But somehow, I'm the problem if I have something to say about it? What as joke!

So, what does the Bible have to say about this?

But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

Why Partiality is a Sin:

It contradicts God's nature:
The Bible states that God shows no favoritism and judges everyone fairly. Therefore, believers are called to reflect His character by being just and impartial in all dealings.
It violates God's law:
Favoritism is considered a sin and is incompatible with the "royal law" to love your neighbor as yourself.
It leads to injustice:
The Old Testament prohibits showing partiality in legal matters, commanding that one should not be partial to the poor or defer to the great.

So you can think what you wanna think. But to expect someone to tolerate hate and partiality because of their color is wrong, and I don't care who is doing the hating. It's just plain wrong!

I can already see it now, the all classic gaslighting: ((You just wish you could have what we have. Just admit it. You hate us cause you aren't us.))

Or in the case of the poor: ((You just wish you could be rich like us.))

They get you to question your experience by saying: (("Stop playing victim")).
They pit the blame on you: ((You're just jealous.))

Why do I even bother addressing this common problem in our community when all people do is gaslight you? The fact is, they can’t win the argument, so they try to psychologize you — ((‘Oh, you’re just bitter, you’re just salty.’)) That way, they don’t have to engage with your actual point. What a way to create the very selfish individualists you complain about.

Here’s the truth: pointing out hypocrisy, double standards, or destructive ideology isn’t bitterness — it’s discernment.

Its frustrating to see people who knowingly ‘have it easy,’ try to weaponize that comfort to lecture others and shut down honest debate.

We are allowed to feel some type of way about this. And if it were them being treated partially based on their color, they would be the ones complaining about it!

And by the way, resentment cuts both ways.

A lot of people who claim to be ‘privileged’ or ‘oppressed’ build their entire identity around envy and grievance. Yet if you raise your voice against unfairness, suddenly you’re the problem? No. Don’t let them gaslight you.
